Ear seeds
Tiny seeds on the ear, with no needles. You wear them between visits.
Ear seeds are small, smooth seeds on a bit of adhesive tape, placed on points of the outer ear. Hattie shows you where they are and how to press them gently a few times a day. There are no needles, so ear seeds are a good place to start if needles worry you.
How it works
Hattie places a few seeds during your visit, usually one ear at a time. You press each one for about a minute when you want a pause, on a break or before bed. They stay on for a few days and come off in the shower or with a little oil.
What a visit is like, in order
- 01
Step 1: We talk
About ten minutes on your week and what you want from the visit.
- 02
Step 2: Placing the seeds
Hattie cleans the ear and places a few seeds. It takes a few minutes.
- 03
Step 3: How to press
She shows you how, and how long, and when to take them off.
- 04
Step 4: A plan
She suggests whether to try them again at your next visit. You decide.
Before and after
What you may feel afterward
The ear may feel warm or tender where a seed sits. Take a seed off if it itches or hurts. The tape can irritate sensitive skin.
Tell us first
An allergy to tape or adhesive, broken or irritated skin on the ear, and pregnancy. Hattie chooses points with care, or suggests other care.
How many visits
Many people try ear seeds for a few visits and then decide whether to keep them. It is your plan, never a promise.
What it does not do, and when to see a doctor instead
- It does not replace your doctor, your medicine or emergency care.
- It does not promise a result, and results vary from person to person.
- It does not stand in for therapy or other care you need.
See a doctor first for sudden, severe pain, chest pain, trouble breathing, new weakness or numbness, or loss of bladder or bowel control. In an emergency, call 911.
What will it cost?
Hattie gives you the fee before the first needle. Read how fees work, or call and ask.
